How is Maureen’s Reiki different from another Reiki Master? Maureen starts each session off with explaining what an individual may feel, see, hear and allows questions during the session if needed. A lot of compassion and empathy goes into each session, so each client feels calm and at peace. When Maureen feels or hears something that the client needs to know, she is very blunt and honest. Each session begins and ends with a smile and a hug, if permitted.

What is mindfulness? Being fully present, aware of where we are and what we are doing. Maureen has taught Mindfulness Classes at the Piedmont Cancer Wellness Center for 8 years. Helping members to relax during chemo, PET Scans, dealing with the monkey mind, helping with anxiety and insomnia just to name a few things that distract our mind. Meditation sitting or laying down, drawing, walking meditations or eating mindfully are just a few ways Maureen teaches Mindfulness.
